Odd, I thought it was lobbyists for Exxon and Chevron.
If I remember correctly, Chevron was already buying oil from Venezuela. Exxon maybe.
Welp now they own the state assets (again) too.
They always did. I’m not saying they are clean or innocent in general. But in this specific case, they (1) already had a beneficial agreement, and (2) don’t seem to have gained anything from the war. So, in this specific case, I don’t think they were responsible (or they miscalculated horribly, which is also possible).
Right. Trump used a computer. Because he needed to be convinced to commit a crime. That all of the previous administrations have done. Sure.
Wait didn’t his own FCC say that the AI companies should be held accountable for what the AI tells people to do? Trump is getting ready to use this for getting out accountability for his crimes. He attorneys are going point to AI for all the crimes he committed. They will say “AI told me this was the correct course. So Trump not responsible Musk is because his AI told me to do this.”
It fucking stupid argument and no sane judge would allow it. But goddamn that what the plan is.
What’s their excuse for the million times they did this before LLMs
