China’s Commerce Ministry has stressed that the EU should address its own economic problems and resolve disagreements through dialogue.

Isn’t that the goddam truth? I swear all the politicians in this forsaken bloc just spend all their days thinking of ways to blame someone else for the problems they made happen! Spineless, rich bastards. None of the economic problems the bourgeois politicians create threathen their way of life in any way. They don’t care about the people they claim to serve, they don’t give a shit about our well-being, our security, our future. They only exist to serve capital, and that is everything they care about.

I’m so fucking done with these fucking clowns still pretending this bloc has any weight of its own globally. Without the US there to back the EU up, it ain’t got nothing. This shit will hopefully rip itself apart fast. Shit is so over.

Most of the EU’s weight comes from its role in legitimizing/supporting US imperialism in exchange for having their collective colonial holdings maintained. I don’t think it’s anything new for Europeans to externalize their anxieties in a way that necessitates their power and moral righteousness to exploit the global south as a form of “protection.”

Now that their shared system is bleeding (never really recovered from the '08 crisis), their enforcer squeezed, and now they’re contemplating the cost/benefit of allying with another one. They would seriously sooner stay with the US or gear up their own violent oppression before they conceded the right to “protect” themselves through colonialism, and that means maintaining the notion that white capitalists are the only trustworthy allies.

There might even be a stronger push from some members to (at least try) mend their relationships with Russia. But then that happening would necessitate giving up on arming Ukraine, I doubt Russia would be agreeable without that happening first. I suspect that the current status quo in the EU wouldn’t agree to this, because it seems EU members are sworn on re-establishing their economies through rearming themselves sans US, and rearmament will most likely just lead to more war. But then again the French and the Spanish (at least) are in the midst of mass protests atm, and the popular concensus on arming Ukraine/war in general (which has only meant increased austerity policies at home) could be turning more widely, though I’ll admit that I haven’t got any proof that this shift is actually happening. But people will always be against austerity.

Then again, things are always in flux. The current Ukrainian state might just kick the bucket during/after the coming winter, which would change things here vis-a-vis Russia. Putin will eventually have to leave office in Russia, and his successor might be even more hardline with even less trust towards the west, or an even softer handed liberal ready to open up Russia’s markets again. China (and Russia too) keeps working with the global south, enabling them to use their own material recourses to kick out the western neocolonial powers and gain some actual independence, for the first time in a looooong while. Iran is changing the picture in West Asia and the Zionist entity is losing favor among the youth globally, the same folks that are protesting in France and elsewhere. Green energy transformation is a necessity for human survival, and China is leading in its development (there’s been news about their newest nuclear fusion strides, though I’m not a nuclear physicist and can’t tell how far they realistically are to making it an actual, usable piece of engineering). All the while there is a spectre haunting the world. The spectre of communism.

Interesting times ahead for us all, I think. Hopefully we can make meaningful changes in Europe soon.
