Facebook doesn’t give a shit either, and honestly they should be held liable if a cyclist is ever killed by someone who has ever left or read a comment like this one that Facebook chose not to take down. For the last couple of years, I’ve started keeping a log of all the comments I’ve reported on Facebook, and then updating that log if I get a notification that they took action. Very, very few have needed updating. Here’s my log of not removed comments:

And here are the ones they did remove:

    Facebook actively encourages extreme violence.

There, it’s so horribly easy to create destructive, violent, sexually-offensive content than to remove them. So much that some if not all human content moderators end up having godawful PTSD.

Give most humans the tiniest bit of power or comfort, and ANYTHING that questions or “threatens” that is immediately treated with hostility.

I report comments like “just run them over” all the time, I’ve never seen one taken down

I cannot say I’m surprised. They moderate only under very narrowly defined circumstances. Thank you for keeping track of it.

I remember they would always remove and punish me for just language. Let’s say some guy says something like “Fuck fa***ts”. I report it, nothing happens. I tell the guy he’s a homophobic piece of shit, removed and temp ban for 3 days.
