definitely, it would help setup default subscriptions, and even default blocks would be very nice

Well you don’t have to use it if you don’t like it. Many people like it, it was a feature with high demand. Even without the feature I always check the crossposts for different comments, so it’s the same thing just more convenient, no difference in “mono-culture”
Also removing/merging duplicate posts in the feed, it’s crazy it doesn’t do this yet.
This does exist in the default Lemmy UI, it’s just a bit inconsistent. Also it’s hard to notice when it is working, for obvious reasons lol.
Plenty of people heard about Lemmy and bounced off. PieFed is the one people haven’t heard about yet, there’s some hope that they get a big growth spurt
Reddit has like 8 different Dragon Ball communities lol, and 3 for the show “From”
but still something that could be improved in Lemmy, to have an advantage over Reddit
PieFed helps with this
Well it doesn’t mix the comments, there’s a divider between
You can use a subdomain, and I’m pretty sure you can get a subdomain for free. It won’t be pretty but it will do what you want.
I don’t like the title cause there’s a decently sized userbase here, but the article is good. If the article was something like “Why don’t more people use Lemmy?” then I would share this on Reddit, but as-is most people will just read the headline and skip it.

yea the tiered/hierarchical moderation is a great feature, if an instance sucks then it will get defederated or at least blocked by users (or even as a default block for new users that can be removed on a per-user basis in their settings)
